I put some carpet freshener stuff down on my 40yo stair carpet to try and get rid of the wet dog smell. Now my entire house STINKS, the dog is sneezing, I have sore eyes and ds wont go down the stairs because they smell funny. Am I stuck with this smell for long do you think? I have the windows open at the mo, but it's cold.
