Quick help with dust for domestic moron ...

I'm trying to clear out under our bed. I'm getting out some very dusty things. What's the best way to collect up the dust, rather than redistributing it?

So far it's mostly plastic stuff, so I've tried using a wet cloth, but now I have a very dirty cloth and some gross water ...

Hoover it with the furniture attachment, if you have one.

Oh, duh, yes. That would do it. I'll need the hoover anyway. Thanks!

what sort of stuff? can it go in wash?
or maybe hoover then damp cloth
or cheap baby wipes

my mum (she of the many buckets) was horrified to learn i dust my bannisters/skirting boards with baby wipes

I don't really have a lot of baby wipes any more.

The hoover worked fine, it was shoes (some for bin) and plastic stuff, by and large. They look ok. I was at the amount of dust etc under there - one of the cats appears to live there, and had produced enough hair there to make an entire spare cat, should we need one.

Hmmm, under-the-bed is a good case for a Rhoomba, though - moving the bed to hoover under it is a right PITA.

(Oh, and as for how the skirting boards etc get cleaned ... I have no clue, I really am a domestic moron. Thankfully, my cleaner isn't!)
