last time i put trainers in the washing machine i wrecked them.

expatinscotland · 30/08/2008 20:29

tie them up in a pillow case and put them on at 30

lulumama · 30/08/2008 20:29

i wash lelli kellys in one of those net laundry bags, at 40 degrees, with the insoles removed, and never lost a bead yet

Ceolas · 30/08/2008 20:30

I don't know what will happen but I'd say let them dry out well, brush them off and if they need washing, 30.

I'd be terrified about the LKs though...

lunavix · 30/08/2008 20:31

with any luck the trainers will be clean and the lelly kellys will have lost all beads/sequinny bits and be a nice pair of shoes.

frankiesbestfriend · 30/08/2008 20:31

40 degrees
Plenty of powder
Delicates cycle
Inside a pillow case per pair

You will lose some beads/sequins from the Lelli Kellys but it probably won't be noticable.
Washed dds lots of times and they are still fine

Piffle · 30/08/2008 20:33

I put dds lelli kellys inside pillowcase and washed with old towels
On quick wash
Not one bead unplaced
Shiny shoes again!

frankiesbestfriend · 30/08/2008 20:33

Yes, remove insoles too, they are leather I believe.

Cappuccino · 30/08/2008 20:58

oh I don't mind about the lellis bizarrely

it is the trainers I'm more worried about

it is really hard to get dd1 shoes that fit over her splints so even tho the trainers were £11 and the Lellis £!!!!, I'm a bit concerned about danJARMouse's story
