sagacious · 29/08/2008 16:57

Done list

Hoovered upstairs
Charmed worms (30 mins and only 4 a very poor effort)
Ignored ironing
Dismantled den in dining room (pillows needed for spare bed)

Off to make lasagne.

sagacious · 29/08/2008 16:59

Oh and can I have a teeny weeny boast !

I am (for the first time since I had ds who is now 6.6 yrs) debt free (apart from mortgage sadly)

Paid off last of my overdraft.
Paid off remainder of credit card debt.

I am doing a little jig as I never thought I'd get there.

As you were...

scattyspice · 29/08/2008 17:17

Well done Saga!! I am debt free about 1 day/month .

GO I have a fab Oxfam shop, get lots of my clothes there (esp jeans), books and DCs toys (esp Power ranger for DS).

Tiger how old is your DS? DD seems to have had the longest period of ptty training in the world (she is 3.5, we have been going for 8 mnths lol). She now lasts until about tea time, then has lots of accidents but until recently she would have accidents through the day. I probably should have gone back to nappies and waited but I'm stubborn . I just used to take plenty of spsre clothes and put a pull up on if necessary (long journeys etc).

cike welcome. I love flylady. Have a good look on the website. Today I found a useful bit about 'back to school' on the homepage.

Done:
name tapes sewn!
Mission
clean fridge and cooker
declutter kitchen cupboard.

To do
Eve routine
make up our bed
wash up
put away laundry.

BiancaCastafiore · 29/08/2008 18:34

Cike welcome
Luda sorry to have missed you earlier Hope to catch up soon x

We have ended up being out all day I did manage to whizz round with the hoover this morning before we left so the house isn't too bad. PiL due tomorrow so I need to mop the floors before I go to bed and hide get on top of some other areas. We alos have my bro arriving tomorrow eve for an over-night stay so the spare room needs some attention tomorrow when I finish work.

Kids are watching HSM2 while eating pizza for tea

EustaciaVye · 29/08/2008 18:36

welcome cikecaka

On my own tonight. DD2 watching cbeebies and then we'll bath/bed. Plan to watch Greys anatomy I missed last night and sxour the house for chocolate.

cikecaka · 29/08/2008 19:01

thanks EustaciaVye (what a fantastic
name). Should be bathing DD3 but just said i would pop on for a few mins. Probaly will end up dragging myself off the computer in another while. Strange day today, DH very busy at work, working 17 hrs, other 3 DC back at school and DD3 decided to have a longer than usual nap, the silence was deafening! Oh well time for her bath i suppose considering she is starting to undress herself. Thanks to all who made me feel welcome today, have been mn for a little while but this is the first thread that even recognised i was about.

EustaciaVye · 29/08/2008 19:11

My pleasure Cike. I have no idea what your name refers to...

DD2 just gone to bed. House very quiet. It is so early....I will pay for it in the morning I'm sure.

cikecaka · 29/08/2008 19:16

My name is made up from the first 2 letters of my 4 DC names!Eldest DD is watching DD3 in the bath

cikecaka · 29/08/2008 19:19

Posted that without asking my stupid question, will there be a brand new thread tomorrow or will it continue here

scattyspice · 29/08/2008 19:30

EustaciaVye · 29/08/2008 20:16

lucysmam · 29/08/2008 20:32

evening all

we're just in after a very chilled afternoon at pil's, chilling with a beer while they watched lo for us. Walked home too which was lovely and peaceful!

grouchy fab bargain there! I'm off for a wander to our local one tomorrow to see what books they've got in this week. Always someone dropping stuff in, sometimes it's just junk though that sits for months in there. Someimes some really good kiddy stuff in though so that's what i go for!

(keep wanting to spell stuff, stiff, tonight for some reason!)

Oh well, off for a wander on the www. then to the bedroom department . Back tomorrow although already have a picnic planned and Asda delivery so probably not get a lot done! anyways, ttfn xx

rowingboat · 29/08/2008 20:35

Hi all
haven't had much of a chance to get on here today.
It's been very busy, everyone getting geared up to send the kiddiewinks back to school.
We will be going away tomorrow for a week by the sea and I don't think I'll be doing any missions or babysteps.
Lucys I managed to post the nappies today - there is a bumble (google it, it's quite well-known) with a nappy nippa (have fun with that), a few paper liners, a red bottom bumper or something, a rikki wrap, which is a waterproof cover with velcro. You need to fasten the velcro before washing it or it sticks to everything - think mad baby's bib, and finally, one of my own handmade super nappies, with a really dodgy booster inside, but I will send you a nice one soon.
I hope you get on OK with them, but if you get stuck you have my email address, so email me and I will talk you through any questions. Have fun!
Scatty that sounds tough with your DD, I would say don't do it if you aren't comfortable, she's only tiny. I can't really advise about any other methods because I co-sleep with my LO and stay with until he is asleep most of the time. I get horrified looks about this, but I feel it's natural for me to do and go with my instincts. I am fairly confident that he won't be in with us when he is 18.
Are the accidents big or just a bit? I think it's quite normal for them to forget or leave it late when they are three or four or even bigger. You could always take her at a set time at night and ask her to sit on the loo and chat to you or something.
