Toothpaste for silver

So excited! Have just discovered toothpaste is the perfect cleaner for silver. Tried it on a big ring that was very tarnished. Just covered the ring and then gently rubbed with a cloth and it was clean and sparkling!

have you tried hot water salt and aluminium foil? It's miraculous, and no effort at all! (though make sure there aren't any other corrodable metals in the thing you're cleaning)

Yes I've tried that with bigger things but with the toothpste you get instant gratification!
