DS thought it a great game to smear great gloops of Simple nappy rash cream all over himself and the carpet - A really large area of carpet. Obviously water wouldnt work! Any magic tips appreciated!

oh dear, friad you're probably stuffed.

You can try scraping as much off as possible with a knife then using neat washing up liquid. That's the best way I've found

chocolatespiders · 21/08/2008 18:04

i would use soap/liquid and water

Have the same problem with Metanium cream, which seems even less water-permeable than sudocrem. Slur, does neat washing up liquid really work? How do you do it - dab it on? rub it in? Wash it off?

Oh no! was sure there would be a genious dead easy solution that I just wasn't privvy to!!

Will try the washingup liquid and then freezing if it doesnt work

Thank you for your replies

Its because its such greasy stuff.

An alternative is lemon juice/vinegar in hot hot water and scrub in. Anything that will break down the grease (hence the washing up liquid working)

I have had success using washing up liquid little bit on, scrub it hard then clean up new soapy mess with hot water dabbing away.

But it is a bugger to get up, good luck.
