How do i remove a mould/mildew stain on a fabric baby toy that's been in storage?

biological washing liquid rather than powder worked for some shoes of mine that got damp & mouldy in back bedroom when i first moved in here, only tesco value cheapo stuff though, don't know if that makes any difference. was about 71p for a litre iirc
