Play doh on carpet

Title says it all really. Entirely my own fault, thought 'oh it's quite old and dry, I'm sure ds won't get any of it to stick to the carpet whilst I have 10 mins' peace to watch the Olympics'. Dh even queried it at the time but I insisted it would be fine.

Well, we live and learn. There are three bits stuck to the carpet, how do I get the residue off?

erm , i am sure that someone with more knowledge will come along soon but i found th eonly thign that worked on my carpet was to leave it to dry and then attack it with the hoover.

It should come off quite easily when its dryed out and any bits left you should be able to pick out!
