Stylish alternatives to net curtains?

We live on a cul-de-sac so need some sort of privacy, therefore don't want to go for bare windows. What does everyone else use?

i've got voile blinds that tie up,so you can have them as high or low as you like,they were only about £5 at my local market.

Wooden blinds?

It depends on what look you are going for and what you want from your window. If you want a natural look and want to spy out I would go for wooden blinds
For a lush and luxurious feel I would go for some type of roman blinds
