Bookmooch, paperback swap etc etc. Anyone have any experience and recommendations of these. Or would I be better to get rid of the lot on freecycle or charity shop?

Greenmetropolis.com is pretty good, pays £3 for each book you sell (and more if it is hardback) and costs £3.75 (plus post if needed).
Also they donate to the Woodland Trust for each book sold too.

I have lots of books to get rid of, how does this work? What do you have to do?

I've used greenmetropolis & would recommend them, i sold 2 books in my first 2 weeks.

It costs nothing to list items, so if they don't sell you don't get charged & listings are active for at least 6 months. Also you list books using the ISBN numbers, so you don't have to faff about writing descriptions, so its quite easy to set up. They email you when a book sells, & you sort out p&p at your expense, which in my case was minimal.

Good luck, & happy bookselling!
