Lucysmam - Do you have an email you can post here, or CAT me? I can't do either. If not does anyone else here have your email to pass on to me??

lucysmam · 17/08/2008 13:15

Jas, my email is

[email protected]

I can't CAT either, super skint atm so can't afford the fiver but never mind

rowingboat · 17/08/2008 13:17

Hi everyone TMH are you boiling water in a saucepan so you can have a cuppa?
Lucys if you like I could send you some nappies to try - my LO has been out of nappies for almost two years and I still have my lovely cloth nappies (on my declutter list) but you do become very attached to them - cute!
Scatty Hello, glad you had a good holiday, sounds lovely!
Bianca enjoy your lazy Sunday - no posse of children today?
Jas I forgot to say, did you have to buy a new keyboard - is it posh?
Not much flying for the past few days, so have had to get a headache catching up today
cafe how are you getting on with day 6/7?

So far have done
hotspots
washing up
laundry hung
other washing sorted and put away
kitchen rescue
underwear drawer declutter
washing and sorting enooooormous bag of tatties from grandparents
Fixed stoopid computer
read bit of Feel the Fear

Has anyone read Feel the Fear at all?????
Did you think it helped??

Jas · 17/08/2008 13:25

Yes, I did have to buy a new keyboard!

Not posh...very cheap and klunky, but then I won't be devastated if ds wrecks it.

I'll email you now lucysmam.

lucysmam · 17/08/2008 13:35

rowingboat I'd appreciate that as well!! very much.

had a productive day today, have made bread, apple sauce and soup for tomorrow's tea while oh has been out. Also have bedding in wm and td on with towels in. am busily ebaying as well to try and make money for rent rather than taking out of next pay so we can use some of that for an evening out again

TheMadHouse · 17/08/2008 15:10

Well DH is on his way to the tip.

We have sorted half od the garage and all the camping stuff is sorted too.

Rowing I was using the camping kettle on the stove like in the olden days

DS1 is on the PC and DS2 is laughing at the limpics as he calls them.

lucysmam · 17/08/2008 15:27

rowingboat if your cloth nappies are on your declutter list, would you consider selling some of them maybe? just out of curiosity, if not doesn't matter

grouchyoscar · 17/08/2008 17:15

Hello Everybody

Got back from the East Coast yesterday. Had a really good time, spent a lot more than I should but, hey it was a holiday. Plus I can't resist cheap bookshops and pound stores

Been doing loads of washing and trying to get it dry. And I'vebeen double podding broad beans this aft. Oh and this morning I took Ed tovisit Jenny Donkey and we came back with a bucket of blackberriesfrom the hedges. Gathered a whole lb of the purple jewels.

So,have I missed any news? Who are the newbies and has any one changed their names?

I've really missed you all btw

lucysmam · 17/08/2008 18:29

evening grouchy glad you had a good time, know what you mean about cheap bookstores and pound shops! I can't resist them either!

I'm bored and don't really know what to do with myself this evening so mooching on here for a bit, then i don't know after that!

rowingboat · 17/08/2008 19:08

Hi Grouchy, that sounds like a lovely week. Actually we have all changed names with each other, so now you have to identify everyone.
I know what you mean about missing, it's quite addictive this community.
Lucys I must go through the nappies and see what I want to keep and what I can let go of - isn't it tragic! There are definitely too many though, so I will have to sell some on. I don't know if I am ready, might phone nappies anonymous.
TMH you can all sit and eat Kendal mint cake and pretend you are up a hill somewhere with your camping stove.

This evening
hotspots 6 mins
laundry on
change bedding
s&s bathroom
kitchen tidy 5 mins
life plan 15 mins
read Feel the fear 10 mins
watch a film with DP now he's back
Can't think of anything else
Can't face tiles - no! That will have to be on tomorrow's list.

Bewilderbeast · 17/08/2008 19:38

happy weekend to all even if I am a bit later,

would you believe that I have been so busy cleaning that I haven't had time to post? Probably not but it's true honest grouchy could even come round and check.
I can;t remember everything I (we but mostly) I have done but the downstairs is totally clean (including main house bathroom). The upstairs has been dusted to within an inch of its life (except the office) and the staircase has been dusted all the way up and hoovered to half way up.

I've also:

done lots of gardening
taken the bits of chopped down tree to the tip
done the household accounts
made a loaf (breadmachine)
tackled my hot spots
de-cluttered a bit
cleaned the glass doors on the sideboard and tv unit
cleaned the inside of the living room window because ds has covered it with sticky hand and face prints
done lots of washing

Oh and the outlaws have been (we had a lovely time) hence the frantic cleaning

I am totally shattered and really wish I had tomorrow off

Hi all.
GO Glad you had a good time (rain much?).
Ruby New bike, sounds fun, I used to like cycling.
BB wow you are a domestic goddess today!
lucy are you going down the washable nappy road? Good for you.

Got some washing done and been to shops to get school shoes (DS gone up 2 sizes since Easter ) and a new buggy (old one fell apart on holiday), this will be our 3rd (and final) buggy!

Proper flying as from tomorrow.

Jas · 17/08/2008 20:30

Lucy I will include an all in one popper nappy when I post. It is currently on the line and a slow drier so may not post til Tues. Not such a great bargain, as it isn't water proof, and still needs an extra wrap (I haven't got one of them spare), but you could try it indoors to get used to them. It is almost new, but for some reason lost its waterproofness as soon as I got it, and is now too tight for chubby ds to wear even to play in.

@ new bike Ruby

to every one else...

TheMadHouse · 17/08/2008 20:34

Evening all

Welcome back Groucy Glad you had a nice time in my neck of the woods

BWB You have been busy

Scatty I am putting 2 prams on e-bay next week, as we are cutting back now DS2 is 2.

Sorry brain has forgot the rest - doh

Ah yes Ruby Bike pictures please

Catch you later ladies

grouchyoscar · 17/08/2008 21:00

Thanks for the welcome back.

ScattyIt rained Saturday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday but Friday made up for it.

TMH We went to Whitby for the day (great little bus service to Middlesboro) and went to The Magpie which was fab. Tried to get Kippers from Fortune's but they'd sold out (boo) but found the sweet shop (Yay). Nice trip even though it poured it down.

We went to the castle, the geology museum, the beach, the sea, on a pirate ship and a cruise. Got about for a bit for a family without a car and walked miles. Ed saw 2 steam trains and stood on the footplate of 'Oliver Cromwell' so he was really happy. I'd recommend a UK holiday to anyone. It was fun.

The blackberries have been cooked and frozen. I am sick of wet washing and I am going to find something to do tomorrow to get away from it.

I'm off to bed. It's great to be back

lucysmam · 17/08/2008 21:04

evening all, i'm still mooching!! tonight's super-duper dragging & I don't know what to do with myself for a change!

rowingboat pmsl @ nappies anonymous. we get attached to the strangest things don't we. I've always found it hard to let go of slippers! you know the fluffy bunny kind, or pigs with curly elasticated tails!!

scatty yup, sick of wasting money changing lo with just skids all the time!

bewilder do i dare ask why the stairs only got hoovered to half way up?? i normally lose interest at the landing when i run out of cable!

anyways, off to see what else is happening on the www.

catch you all tomorrow xx

TheMadHouse · 17/08/2008 22:04

I have justed packed up nine things which have been bought from us on e-bay. I am really pleased.

Didnt make a lot, but something is better than nothing.

I have just listed one travel highchair, a booster seat and a back carrier on a five day listing. Fingures scrossed. I am hopinh it will help pay for chiristmas

Bewilderbeast · 17/08/2008 23:10

lucysman they only got hoovered half way because that was how far I could reach from downstairs. I can't really carry my vac upstairs and we have a twisty staircase so I generally borrow my mum's vac to do the whole way up (or more likely just don't bother vaccing it at all)
