Hi everyone...thanks for all the welcomes. i think you misunderstood rowingboat, i havent done this at all before. Have done the mission and other bits and pieces...I'll take EustaciaVye's advice and look at the Flylady's website at babystepping.

cafebistro · 12/08/2008 14:57

I guess i better get shining that sink then

Afternoon

DD now has her school shoes, that's everything I've now got to label it all.
DS woke up from his nap at 11am. I was going to wait and have lunch at home and then go into town as weather was looking rather dodgy. I decided to be uncharacteristicaly spontaneous and made some sandwiches and left. Managed to get down to the park and eat some of the sandwiches in the dry, then the heavens opened. DD ddin't care though she was having too much fun splashing in a huge puddle. DS of course wanted to join her. After 15mins they were both drenched, DS had fallen over face first 3 times btu they were both grinning from ear to ear, I wish I had my camera. So they are now bathed, and wathcign CBeebies and looking very tired. I bet DD won't forget this in a long time.
DP home, had better go.

Hi
I have got school shoes for dd too - she is over the moon cos they are the ones with the dolly in the sole! Bought shoes for ds too and am much poorer now! Still I am making a cheapo tea so feel a bit better about that.
I have done my ironing, tidied through upstairs, sorted the kitchen and done some more washing. Still need to tidy through downstairs, do the mission and clean the bathroom because I have my outlaws coming tomorrow.
Cafebistro - I never got on with babysteps - I just do the mission each day and 15 minutes (using a timer) on whichever room I think needs it the most. I write myself a list in the morning and cross things off as I do them - I find it helps me keep going!

EustaciaVye · 12/08/2008 17:11

Rupert - what size were the yotoy ones? DD1 wants them (she starts reception in sep) but I've told her they may not do her size (she will probably be a 9).

EustaciaVye · 12/08/2008 17:18

We're back from McDonalds by the way so no dinner things to tidy up. DDs are in awe of the Happy Meal toy. Like an ipod thing that plays 30 seconds of the sugarbabes!

Going to try and get DD1 to help me do a 5 minute tidy so place is presentable when DH gets back tomorrow.

RupertTheBear · 12/08/2008 17:52

DD's are a 10 - think that might be the smallest they do. She thinks they are briliant but the toy looks like it will break within a week - and loads of fiddly things to be lost. I liked the startrite shoes much better, but there was no persuading dd!

I managed to persuade dh to help me tidy through (after all they are HIS parents) so my place is looking presentable for once. Now just have to keep it that way until they arrive at 2 tomorrow!

Aw, hope you feel better after a relaxing night Ruby.

Rupert - that's what I thought about the shoes, so I'm glad I've explained already she might not be able to have them. Phew.

Mad - shame that your DH is the only one that supports you really. I'd love to have family close to help but not if I had to grovel for the privelege on your behalf.

TheMadHouse · 12/08/2008 20:14

EV It seems that they think that we dont need the help. I suppose we lived away for 12 years and outlaws are set in their ways. MIL is a bit of a martry is I am truthful, doesnt help that it is harvest and she is always bitter at this time of year - Oh I dont get a holiday, FIL doesnt get anytime off. Although she doesnt work and never has, she lives off the farm and doesnt even go anywhere near it, not even to take FIL a sandwich.

DH is wonderful though and I am happy with my lot and would rather not be indebted to them.

Ruby Hope the painkillers work. No more period pain for me [grn], allthough I will still have small bleeds due to the hormones

LML Did the sofa arrive?

lucysmam · 12/08/2008 20:20
