Bulk buying greetings cards....

I would like to bulk buy a big batch of birthday / new home / birth congrats etc etc cards to save money.

Can anyone suggest a good online site where I can do this (am guessing online will be cheapest).

Thanks

I like Phoenix because you can choose a card for each person if you have a list (but yes I am still in my first year of it so repeating isn't yet an issue!). "Mixed bag" cards you tend to end up with ones left over that you don't feel you can send to anyone - so you lose the saving.

Maryann, what a shame they turned you down, they could do with a fresh look!

There is a cheap card shop in our local town which does cheerful basic number birthday cards etc for about 60p/80p (depending on whether there are shiny bits I think).

The biggest saving with Phoenix, or planning ahead generally, is that I don't have to make a special journey into town to get a card for a forgotten birthday.

IMO any decent card for under £1 is worth having so keep an eye out at craft fairs, places you visit etc.

I use Squashed Tomato

The lady who runs it is lovely and even put together a whole pack of 'boys cards' for me when I commented that we only go to boys' parties!

Think she has an Amazon site too?

I got a whole bunch of handmade cards off ebay for about £3 !! I kid you not. Most of them were really nice and all bases were covered(birthday/kiddy b'day/christmas/mother's day/baby etc - I still have the Easter one, who sends Easter cards??)- I need to stock up again now.

I also print out copies of photos I like (not nec of people, more of shapes, colours, London etc as well as ones of DD for the family) & keep them to had so I can quickly make a card using photo/s and coloured cardboard - very personal!

Theres a card shop called acrd factory that do 10 cards for £1 and they are really nice with various occasions. Their massive handmade cards are only £1.99 and they are great for little gifts and photo frames too. Im nr southampton and there are loads of them here and I know they are in bedfordshire and Dorset too.
