rowing not even going to attempt cooker myself!! no worries there, I aint a clue how to change a fuse never mind anything else electrical or vaguely complicated. And yes, defrosting freezer is not a nice job!

Simply I envy you having grass to cut, I have a concrete yard that's filled with old bits of kitchen at the mo so not very pleasant!

Well, tiles all done so having a break before seeing where stuff will fit in my kitchen to see if I can create the illusion of more space.

And towels need to go on the line so will do that while kettle boils I think. bbl ladies xx

grouchyoscar · 07/08/2008 15:11

TMH I'm having that sort of day too. ho hum

TheMadHouse · 07/08/2008 15:40

GO Sometimes you just get up like it dont you.

DS1 is still on the PC on Nick Jnr
DS2 is watching Wiggles

I have hung out the duvet and put another load in the washer
I have put away the ironing I did yesterday
Took tablets

Better still DH has rang to say he has finnished at his clients so is on his way home, so not in as late as previously planned. yippee

Simply grass to cut, that must mean you can go outside without getting rained on, how nice. I hope your dog helps with the grass cutting.
TMH you are keeping busy. What happened at Aldi? I hope the police weren't involved.
Lucys I think your yard sounds very interesting, don't be so quick to dismiss lumps of kitchen in garden design, sounds very modern.
Grouchy well done with the bank account, still have to face mine.

Afternoon
tiling - have only cut two tiles and one is wrong! Aaargh! This has taken over an hour. I wonder if anyone would notice if I left the floor bare? [thoughtful face]

Am making dins though, but think the life plan will have to wait until later.

lucysmam · 07/08/2008 17:08

rowing I'd not thought about it that way

sounds like quite a few of you are having funny kind of days, hope it doesn't last!!

I think self adhesive vinyl tiles are the way to go rowingboat!! seriously, ours is done after much umm-ing and aaah-ing about them and they look brill, if i do say so myself!

grouchy I'm not good with online banking either, glad it's not just me!
Ruby xmas countdown??? already!?

mad I think relax should be at the top of your list, you always seem to be doing loads of stuff all day!

My lo has just fallen asleep after an hour of playing in her bedroom while we child-proofed everything in the kitchen and I can't decide if it would be a bit mean to wake her up now to put her back to bed at 7pm but if not it might mean getting up at 5am so am a bit stuck for what to do! She's knackered so would probably sleep through but if not it means a super-duper early morning!

Am doing nothing this evening, oh at footy so plan to watch the f word that he downloaded for me last week and write a shopping list to take to asda with mil tomorrow and thats it

EustaciaVye · 07/08/2008 17:37

ooh yes, I'm in for the xmas countdown

I have actually bought a few bits in the summer sales for dd's friends...

TheMadHouse · 07/08/2008 17:54

Evening all

Lucys I like to keep busy - I am not a relax type of person, plus the boys have so much energy and need to burn it off.

GO What did you buy

Ruby Ooh yes Christmas countdown I needed it last year.

I have already bought the playmobil carry and go playhouse from tesco direct for DS1 for £12.50 and popped it away.

Final load of washing is hung out
Back of car is emptied and extra seats up
Dinner for boys done
Veg has been watered
Books returned to next door

DH is doing bedtime routine with them at the moment

Rowing I want to see the floor when all done it seems a momoth task

biglips · 07/08/2008 17:59

hi all!

been out all morning with DD which i worn her out! (and myself)

Today just made cakes with DD but yesterday i did alot of housecleaning so i thought ill have a break today. The weather was gorgeous today...let hope its the same as tmrw!

grouchyoscar · 07/08/2008 18:09

Hello again

Ed still playing out with the estate kids, they are in our garden now. Well they're having fun

DH is going to do tea

TMH I got him the lego coastguard set from the City range cos it was 1/2 price. It probably will be half price all the time but at least it's a start.

Still feeling rather odd. Must just be one of those days. AF is due for a visit so I'll put it down to that

Ruby I am curious, what does your xmas countdown involve?? Am never organised for it really so if it's designed to be helpful then I'm in.

Mad how about something relaxing with the kids (don't ask me what I'm not entirely sure you can relax with kids around!) but just a thought

rowingboat am not overly convinced about the kitchen sink as a water feature but the paddling pool that's been out there still filled up for about 2 weeks is starting to look like a goldfish pond or something similar, think it ought to be cleaned out at some point soon!

I'm bored already, lo woke up for a clean nappy and drink then went straight back to sleep at 5:45pm and oh now out at footy til half 8 or so so don't know what to do since I've already watched f word and done shopping list

EustaciaVye · 07/08/2008 18:46

Why didnt I see the playmobil takealong house at 1/2 price.

DD1 helped me in an amazing way this afternoon and tidied up the entire ground floor of our house. She has since pulled out her my little ponies, toy village, litle railway track.

Sigh...

Evening All Greyskull yes I do need nagging. Thought I'd lost a few more pounds this week but apparently my scales were playing tricks

off to the optician tomorrow, having serious vision problems and pain in one eye - we can thank ds for this one as he deliberately kicked me in the (open) eye at the weekend.

done (before and after work included and not in any time order so may seem a bit odd)
bed made
sink wiped
wm loaded and on
dw unloaded reloaded and on
living room tidied
sofa plumped and cushions rotated
kitchen surfaces cleaned
bin emptied
ds taken to nursery
ds collected from granny's

just about to make tea for dp and I - fajitas tonight, yum
dp has just informed me that I have to nip to tescos for salad and wine, bummocks

Ho hum tescos hell here I come

count me in in that case ruby

Well the heavens have opened here and it looks like rainy season is set for some time! Still red hot though n i thought a good thunder storm cleared the air usually.

I'm still bored, so bored I'm watching 'stenders and wandering round looking for stuff to do downstairs so i dont wake lo up as she's restless

bythepowerofgreyskull · 07/08/2008 20:36

ooouuuchhhhhhh
who told me it qwouldn't be too bad

2 babies no pain relief... this is horrid/worse

Shannaratiger · 07/08/2008 22:35

Evening

Welcome back simply.
DS is still awake and it's my fault.

Up at 5:30, early nap 8:30 until 9:45 craft morning 10:00 until 11:30. Lunch, town and park back 3:30. 4:00 DD & DS fell asleep, I had a nap, cooked tea woke dc's up at 6:00 DS put in to cot 8:30, DD into bed 9:45, ds still awake!

I really need some suggestions for routines for ds 22mnth & dd nrly 5. Now playschool has finished we have an open day and I need to structure it and am really failing.

Sorry, tomorrow am going to try and be organised, in charge Mum with tea, bath and bed at a proper time.
Am now going to try and put ds to bed without him screaming the block down.
Back tomorrow.
