I have the dinner on - fish, oven chips and mushey peas as requested by DS1.

To Do

Change DS2s bed
Washer on
Dishwasher on
Baths for all
Ironing - maybe

Welcome back Jas Did you have a nice week?

littlemissloopy · 05/08/2008 17:20

Hi guys

I'll join in with the weight loss/fitness plan....I'm a serial yo yo dieter sadly. I keep the diet and fitness up for a few months, then loose interest and put most, if not all the weight back on

I was doing really well with running....was it rowinboat who was wanting to start running? I started off walking for 2 mins, running for 2 mins....by the end of week 1 I was runnning for 20 mins, you'd be suprised how quickly you get fit by running.
In the end I could run for about 4 miles without stopping, and did the Race For Life, which was 5k.
I hurt my knee quite badly though, so stopped for a few weeks, then didn't carry on

BiancaCastafiore · 05/08/2008 17:50

Good afternoon

Loopy still about? Fancy killing 1/2 hour chatting?

Greyskull I'd be intertested in a fitness plan of some sort too. Mind you, I'm terrible at sticking to stuff like that...I usually find I'm better off on my own. I lost 3 stone in the last year but don't seem to be losing anymore which is kind-of OK by me. I wouldn't mind getting fit next though

Jas nice to have you back

Stressful afternoon chez Bianca, all suffering from cabin fever and over-tiredness. Kids are almost ready for bed already!

grouchyoscar · 05/08/2008 17:50

How do

Minimal FLYing today. I've been out all day with DH and Ed at a stately home's farm. The Piglets had escaped...5 little black ones (Reservoir Pigs?) Ed loved stroking one and so did I. Just got back home and we set off at 10.30!

I made bagels for the packed lunch and used the lettuce we had grown by the back door. It was yummy and I was very chuffed.

I'm totally shattered now. Hope everyone is OK and I haven't missed anyone's news

bythepowerofgreyskull · 05/08/2008 17:51

So are we just going to post our exercise plans & achievements on our regular todo lists or should we have a different thread?

TMH - do you know what would work? I'd be happy to try anything I don't want to nag.

grouchyoscar · 05/08/2008 17:54

Oh Lucysmam I saw your £15 shopping bill thread and thought you might find This thread of some use.

Hope you're not offended

am astounded!!!
Praise the lord that I wasn't blessed with the girl I really wanted

grouchyoscar · 05/08/2008 18:21

Congrats on being mean Ruby. I need a good lesson in that.

I give in unless it involves spending cash (???)

I'm mean and tight!

BiancaCastafiore · 05/08/2008 18:21

My dd would love a bra, God knows why! She's quite obsessed with when her boobs will grow She went round stuffing socks up her tops to look as though she had boobs a while ago (and couldn't understand why I'd only let her do this in the house but thankfully that seems to have passed!

Hi everyone!! Thanks for the advice all you former runners, I hope we will all be back on the road/treadmill again soon/after baby born.
Greyskull the bless your heart thing sounds good - will go and have a look at that.
I'm scared to actually have another thread, but would like to add my running or whatever to my routine. If it really takes off we could start a new thread. I think there is a bit of FlYing that is called loving movement which is supposed to be part of the routine.
I won't be starting until I feel a bit better, don't want this cold to drag on, but hope to start 30 mins run/walk by Friday or Sunday dependant upon how I feel.
I don't have any scales, so probably won't be doing the weighing bit, but it sounds like a good idea.

Afternoon routine
Haven't quite thought of one yet but will go to Flylady to see what other people do for the afternoon routine 15 mins
life plan 15 mins done
15 minute declutter - finish bookshelves done
find recipe using up egg white that isn't meringue. - still not sure, but thank you for the suggestion shannara will look into recipes later
washing in done
walk to park and or library done
pick up lots of foam packaging that some selfish neighbour dropped all over the shared garden 15 mins done

Evening
Hotspots 2mins each
washing on
shine sink

lucysmam · 05/08/2008 19:01

good evening ladies!!

well, no FLYing of any sort today as we've just got in after stopping off at mil's on way home from town.

Spent £189.95 on fridge freezer to actually fit our kitchen properly and £239.95 on cooker but get £30 back on cooker and they're taking away the fridge for nothing so am pleased with my purchases today.

ooooh, got a pair of pumpy type shoes for a quid as well because the soles fell off both my shoes while we were wandering in town was very embarrassing (sp?)!

grouchy thanks for the link . . . any help at the mo with budgeting is welcome really, definitely not offended!

had to laugh at your ppost about your daughter ruby, made me chuckle!! 9 n wanting a bra, i hate the things half the bloody time!

time for a shower and to defrost the freezer (not that its really frozen anyways with having nothing in it for weeks!)

hope you've all had a good day in the rainy weather xx

tortoise · 05/08/2008 20:24

Hello.
What bloody awful weather we have had today.

Rowingboat I did start running at the start of the year and was planning to follow this but then we got the dog and i couldn't leave him alone for a while and gave up running. I was enjoying it and once DD2 is at school i would like to start it again.

Not really managing much FLY wise but i did sort the front room yesterday (not that it shows now!)
Social Worker is visiting Thursday so i need to do lots tomorrow.
Kids have been having too much PS2 and wii time but we have been out this morn and not the weather for playing out.

BiancaCastafiore · 05/08/2008 20:26

How was your outing Tort? All work out OK?

tortoise · 05/08/2008 20:32

yes it was fine Bianca. Well, until we got home and i did a very stupid thing.

It was raining, DS's crossed the road ahead of me as they often do.
I waited to cross with DD's and thought i would chuck the keys to DS's over the road.

TBH i didn't 100% look once they left my hand but threw the in the right direction to land near the door.

Could we find the bloody things? NO!

I ended up posting DD2 through the little open window in the front room and she unlocked the back door.

I still have no idea where my keys are.
Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow and i can cut a bush or 2 back and see if they are there.

I am so stupid!!!

Jas · 05/08/2008 20:34

Aaah Ruby I feel so much better about my evening of trauma with dd1 (also 9) after I stopped her playing out this evening after seeing her in the road....my one instruction when she leaves the house is don't play in the road. She has spent 2 hours whinging crying sulking and generally making herself a pain in the ar$e.
This is not helped by the fact that most of theother children here are allowed to play in the road - it is quiet, but not that quiet!
An early night tonight I think.

One of her friends has breasts developing, so we are also getting an interest in bras, but she has nothing, and as I fit in childrens trainer bras still at 38 she shouldn't get her hopes up.

I had a body plaster for 6 months at 12, and when it was removed I suddenly had them so no gentle introduction for me!

We had a lovely week away, butI think it shouldhave been a couple of days less, for my parents saity. DD2 was wearing their (fairly endless) patience pretty thin the last two days, and ds was begonning to break things!

BiancaCastafiore · 05/08/2008 20:34

Oh no!
Hope you find the keys tomorrow.
Glad the trip was OK though
