I was thinking this evening that if i did more of my housework when the kids were in bed i would have a much tidier and cleaner house. BUT....i resent spending MY time doing household chores! So I was wondering what everyone else did and whether im just a lazy cow.

Over the last few nights I have been doing bits of cleaning that will make for an aesier life in the morning...clearing away dishes etc from dinner and loading dishwasher, emptying washer so that washing is ready to hang out, tidying around the lounge....it makes me feel better not to wake up to a bombsite! Ive given myself a limit of an hour, then the rest of the evening is mine ( my dc's are 6 months and 3 so full on day!) Im not sure how long i'll keep it up ....we'll see!

cafebistro, I do that routine every evening, I have just put dishwasher on, sorted washing out and put away what doesn't need ironing, put a load of washing on and hung out/put in dryer what needs drying, cleaned oven and had tea, tidied dishes away. It is hard work but does make for such an easier morning. Especially if the dishwasher is empty, it means dishes from breakfast can be loaded straight away. How sad am I?! I like a clean and tidy house, I wish sometimes I didn't.
