My (almost brand new) tefal easy glide diffusion iron plate isnt as clean as it should be

(I think its because it gets very very hot (hotter than my last iron)

anyway im NOT a fan of chemicals

I have a cupboard full of most of the 'ecover' products, + soda crystals + white vinegar + microfibre (and normal) cloths

I also have waitrose antibacterial spray.

But WHAT shoukld i use for my iron?

I dont really wanna go out and get an iron type cleaner pad thing (but will if i have to!)

should say USE rather than sue!

(also have a lemon if it would help?)

My mum cleans her iron by ironing salt (cheapy table salt not your Maldon flakes) on a sheet of brown paper!!! It seems to work on her iron but it's not an easy glide plate so not sure if it would work ok on that.

well salt DID work.... sort of

required a lot of elbow grease

then sealed its self into all of the many steam holes so spent a while with w needle gett it all out!

(I think next time id use a cold iron and clode the holes with bku tack of similar)
