have you looked inside the rubber skirty bit inside the door door?

Marina · 03/08/2008 17:20

Have you decoked the outlet hose - we sometimes get horrible sludgy gobbets of limescale refluxing at spin time

butterflybessie · 03/08/2008 17:20

Put soda crystals in and wash on 95 wash

WendyWeber · 03/08/2008 17:20

Wiping out the inside of the door seal?

Clearing out the pump filter thing?

Do you always leave the door open when it's empty?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/08/2008 17:20

Soda crystals and vinegar at a 90 degree wash?

I was told by a washing machine engineer that to clean out (or descale) a washing machine the best way was to buy a packet of citric acid from Tesco Pharmacy and run that through on its own on a hot wash. It gets rid of all the slime, mould and limescale that can be lurking inside.

I second cleaning the rubber skirty thing. Water gathers in there and it goes all skanky.

First try a squirt of bleach followed by hottest wash. Also as above, clean filter if you have one, and door seal. If all this has failed, put bleach in the outlet pipe, also the drain which the machine empties into. Good luck
