We just got our front hall replastered. so the skirting boards and the banister are a mess. we want to clean then up and make them a reali feature of the hall (it's the original wood from 1900)
can anyone recommend products for cleaning and polishing the wood?
TIA!

(and thank for not falling asleep reading this! )

when you say they are a mess - have thet got bits of dried plaster on etc...
If so I 's wash/scrub with diluted flash/Multipurpse cleaner first. When clane and dry and if already stripped of paint i owuld polish with beeswax polish as suggested by Rubyslippers

i use a soapy wood cleaner, then a herd wax and then a soft (liquid) wax - my kitchen is all wood and needs this doing ALOT!!
