I only use ecover or house hold products to clean, last night thanks to a tummy bug I discovered that the toilet smells of wee when yu get very close. This is obviously no good but is there a cleaner that will clean it hygenically without using chemicals?

Ooh - toilet surfing? Poor you!

The only cleaners I know of that aren't corrosive, are ecover, bio D and astonish.

However, I'm afraid to say that I use bleach on the toilet as I don't think anythin else works.

if it's any consolation, a friend of mine who is a candidate for the Green party, also uses bleach on her toilet

oh dear, hope you are feeling better.
we also use ecover, but bleach in the loo.

white vinegar kills all germs. It does smell grim while you use it, but doesn't smell once dried. Leave the vinegar in for a while, then clean with the brush.

It works just as well as bleach, honest.
