kitchen re/design

Where can I find a website that will help me work out if I can redesign my kitchen.

In particular, I want to try and fit a peninsular in, and wonder if there are guidelines to doing this without entire kitchen becoming horribly cramped.

I think that I may need a small extension to the kitchen to make my idea work. This is not as bad/excessive as it sounds, as back of kitchen was an outside store/toilet, knocked through, and is only single brick skin so cold and mouldy. If we're going to sort that out properly - demolish and rebuild end of kitchen - it wouldn't be out of the question to extend a bit...but might raise other issues so won't do if I don't need the extra space...

Nah. They wouldn't do that.
Get yaself a lovely builder in to do the building work. Once you have the structure as it should be try B&Q.
