Has anyone bought dining chairs from Ikea and are they any good? We desperately need to get some chairs. Also, what about that norden table, and the norden bench?
Is it really cheap tat that will fall down the moment my kids bang things on it, or will it last 2/3 years?
What are the best/worst things to get in Ikea?
Tell me all about it!

We bought a dining table & chairs about 6yrs ago. I can't remember the name - it has a treated pine extendable top and white legs, with matching treated pine chairs (Leksvig??? sp??)

Anyway, they are really sturdy and still going strong - can't help you with Norden stuff though - sorry

I've never really bought anything bad from Ikea - I love the funky fabrics/duvet sets/curtains and my mum bought a couple of fab sofas.

I think you sort of get what you pay for - they cater for all budgets...

Don't know about that particular table and chairs, but we have a table from Ikea that we bought ages ago - must be about 13 years ago, and we still use it as our dining table, and it's still in good condition (despite the best efforts of 2 DCs).

We have a dining table and chairs from Ikea and has lasted well over 7 years. Only thing is as Ds gets older and bangs on it the wood is very soft and dents, but we have a darke colour wood so not too noticeable.
