Anyone have a BEKO fridge. How to clean the trap at the back - rank smell

Have never come acrosst this with a fridge before.

This newish larder fridge has an undetachable trap at the back which gets gunk in it and then smells rank.

I cleaned it out the other day and it seemed to be OK but the smell is back.

I don't really have any leaks or spills within the fridge so am a bit mystified.

There does seem to be alot of condensation on the inside.

WOuld really not have bought this if I had've know this would happen.

But I have always had fridge freezers before and not larder fridges.

Thanks

I have a BEKO larder and I know what you mean about the trap problem. I tend to put a cocktail stick in it and jiggle it about (or a cotton bud if it seems very "full" of liquid) and then I basically spray lots of dettol into the hole. Not ideal but it does keep on top of the gunk!

Thanks RF yes will do that. I was wiping it with kitchen roll but don't think that was targetted enough.

Will try the cotton bud and the spray dettox.

Think it's a bit of a design problem. I want all things like that to be self cleaning!!

oooh Yes you will still need the kitchen towel to mop up after the jiggling!

My what an exciting life I lead.
