Weirdy bramble. Is it a bramble or is it an alien that is going to eat me alive?

There is an odd bramble down the side of the house. it is vicious thorny cables but has recently flowered like a blackberry bramble and is now showing unripe like-blackberries. But the leaves are sort of ferny.more like chestnut tree leaves. Anyone any ideas? Because if it's not going to be edible I am going to murder it; if it's going to supply yummy berries it can stay .

Am a bit [scaredycat] that it might be an alien because there are often odd rustlings and thumpings down the side of the house late at night when there is NO WIND. Though I think I would prefer a plant-alien to the possiblity of rats (have compost bin at end of garden, found dead rat near it 4 months back...)

And what shall I do about the buddleia?

Hedgehogs are probably nesting under it, rustle/snuffle/shuffle noises.

Can you take a pic and put it on your profile? I have History in identifying obscure plants from Photos on MN

Buddleia is fantastic for butterflies, please keep if you can bear to, give it a harsh haircut in the Autumn if it's straggling.
