best vacuum cleaner for laminate flooring?

Hi I'm moving to a flat that has laminate flooring down in every room (apart from kitchen which is vinyl) can anyone advise me of which vacumm to buy, that will be good for the floors?

I use a broom, as most hoovers tend to blow the dust around IME

i second the miele recommendation. i used for laminate/wood-like floor and carpet

I thought the whole point of laminate flooring is you use a broom and a dustpan and brush. Much quicker. Much better.

oh my gosh you guys have money to spend on a vaccum. I was looking to spend £60 max! think I'll stick to a broom
