Eco laundry liquid recommendations please

Can anyone recommend any of the "Eco" laundry detergents? I would like to start using one a bit less toxic to the environment, better for our skin, and kinder to our clothes. I've been looking at the Faith in nature one (I like their toiletries), anyone used it? Or any others?

Thanks I hadn't heard of this one, the reviews look good.

Is there any reason that it needs to be a liquid instead of a powder?

Powder is better for your washing machine.

I think I get a bit nervous about powders, I never feel certain about how much to use, and I imagine them making the dispenser all gunky. But I'm willing to hear about peoples thoughts about them.

I see those advertised a lot but do you have to sign up to a subscription?

You don't need to use the dispenser - just put it straight into the drum before you put the clothes in.

We use surecare. It is much more gentle on skin than other brands which usually relates to it being less harmful environmental once it’s gone down the drain.

They do a powder that comes in a cardboard box or I think a liquid.

How do you measure it? Does it usually come with a scoop?

The instructions will be on the side of the box. I tablespoon is 15 ml if you don't have anything better to use.

We use smol too, for the laundry, dishwasher, and antibac spray. Really good, and competitive price.

I just use a plastic cup, but apparently a tablespoon usually holds around 15 ml of washing powder. I think there are instructions on the side of the box about how much to use, depending on whether your water is hard or soft, size of load etc. But I've been using it for years and probably put in less than recommended, on the grounds that I don't have any very dirty washing, and also I'm sure manufacturers want you to use as much as possible!

I think so but you can decide how often it's delivered

I have a measuring scoop and just tip
it into the drum on top of the clothes

Yep, another Smol fan here! Used them for years; the non-bio tablets clean really well and smell nice too. The subscription's really flexible - you can pause, rearrange and cancel really easily, and they email when it's going to be dispatched to give you time to do so.

Smol do well in the reviews, im tempted now.

I find smol a bit greenwashy/clickbaity if I’m honest.
