Wool blanket ruined?

I left my washing machine on a timer - approx 8 hours and left fairy liquid gel on a wool blanket.
It was ultimately too heavy for my machine to wash it properly so I took it to the laundrette (should have done this in the first place 🙁) but noticed there are big blue patches on it. Is it stained or would you think it would come out with another wash (no liquid gel!)
laundrette cost £10 so not keen to try again if it’s likely to be stained

I think it's probably the gel - I've occasionally had lumps of sticky blue stuff on a garment from throwing the pods into the machine.

They come out in the next wash.

can you dump it in the bath or somewhere and just put the stained bit of it in a basin next to it for a wash or soak?

id suggest cool water and wash it with gentle bar soap. just that one bit. and see if it comes out?

Soak the affected part in tepid water and rinse that bit.
