Clothes steamer - is it worth it?

As I was putting my mountain of washing away and taking out the items that need ironing I was pondering whether or not a clothes steamer would be a good investment. I’m thinking I could just steam the items as needed rather than having a whole basket to get through. I already try to iron as little as possible.
Does anyone use a steamer? Is it worth it?

No

I think they're easier ho use than getting an iron out. I just steam the item I want just before wearing

Mine is a cheapo tefal pop steamer

Yes, I steam as I go, also Tefal pop steamer. I don’t do ironing for anyone else though, I wouldn’t have used it in the days when I was ironing all the DCs school shirts.

I haven't ironed anything in over a d3cade so maybe not the best person to ask. but I sell clothes for a job and at work have an industrial steamer and it is definitely worth it. Not the pixy hand held ones tho they're useless

Yes.
I rarely iron, and haven't for decades, but when something does look creased, the hand steamer is so much quicker and more convenient than the iron.

Mine is just a cheap one from Argos, but does the job.
I am very glad I got the 3m / 9' lead though rather than a version with a shorter one. I steam by putting the item on a hanger in the doorway and it needs to be able to reach from the socket.

I bought a tefal handheld one and was so disappointed, still interested in getting a proper one so watching with interest.

Thank you all. Any recommendations on a decent one?
