My house smells like 'hoover'

Do you know what I mean?

The cleaner came today and normally I come home and the home smells fresh and of the cleaning stuff she uses

Today I noticed a very strong smell of 'hoover' in the hallway

And now in the living room

I have never had that smell in the house, I cant work it out?

I havent even got a hoover that smells of hoover when you use it.

The hoover smell can come on very suddenly. Usually after it's got a little damp, such as hoovering the floor after putting away the dishwasher, if the dishwasher has only just finished.
