Tumble dryer recommendations- cupboard dry

My use of a tumble dryer stems from a washer dryer at uni that was rubbish!

We are getting a tumble dryer - yes, they use energy, yes they cost but we are a busy household with 2 children, active lives, work evenings and weekends and I hate damp washing hanging on the airer for days (we just don't have the heating on enough) no judgement please.

Anyone any recommendations for tumble dryers. I'm wanting one to go in our garage so this might rule out heat pump maybe. Lower enf price wise. MUST dry clothes to cupboard dry. I know some have a setting for this but it doesnt always work.

Also, tumble drying jeans - yey or nay?! I wear them all the time for work!

You were asking about drying jeans in it, just wanted to point out that it will degrade anything with elastic eventually so if your jeans are 100% cotton they’ll be ok but otherwise I’d not bother. If you have any items that you love I’d be wanting of tumbling them too often as tumbling really shortens the lifespan of clothes. Just worth bearing in mind

Yes they work down to 5 degrees but it will take hours and hours and hours in low temperatures and be extremely inefficient

We have a heat pump Bosch. Been going for about six years. Had someone come out once as it was making a rattle noise but that was down to a toggle coming off a hoodie. Pretty cheap to use.
