Do you feel comfortable leaving a cleaner in your home alone?

This came up in conversation recently and it got me thinking just to be transparent I work with my cleanerHUB but the vetting and ID checking genuinely makes such a difference to that comfort level. Has anyone had an experience good or bad with leaving a cleaner unsupervised? What gave you the confidence to trust them?

Yes, but she was someone I had known for years before she started cleaning for me.

Most of my friends have a cleaner. Not a single one of them is home when the cleaners come to clean. They all have keys to the houses or apartments.

I drive past many condo buildings while heading to work or running errands, and most have lock boxes attached to any railings there are. There are keys inside for cleaners, dog walkers, cat sitters, etc.

I live in the US, where it seems there's a higher degree of societal trust in general than in the UK.
