Has anyone actually saved money by switching from an agency to an independent cleaner?

Been thinking about the real cost difference just to be upfront I work with my cleanerHUB but I've seen people mention agency fees eating into what cleaners actually earn. Has anyone made the switch and noticed a genuine saving without compromising on quality?

Of course there would be a saving if the charge was cheaper - and the few times I’ve used an agency they haven’t been any better. The best cleaner I had was trained by a hotel. She was amazing (but left one day with me owing her money and never returned).

I haven't 'switched' as I have only used a self employed cleaner, but obviously it is going to be cheaper as you are only paying the cleaner and not the agency as well.
The same as with most jobs - agency rate is always higher to the consumer. For 'ad hoc' jobs it can still make sense (for example when someone phones in sick and yo need cover ay short notice), but for a long term, regular person, it is always going to be cheaper to only pay that person.
