Is it worth paying more for a vetted cleaner vs finding one independently?

I've been thinking about this a lot just to be upfront I work with my cleanerHUB but genuinely curious what others think. Is the extra peace of mind of using a platform with vetted cleaners worth it compared to finding someone through word of mouth? Would love to hear real experiences!

Not in my experience. I tried two different cleaners from an agency. Neither were English and their English was poor. This made communication really difficult. The first one was totally unreliable. The second texted me by mistake in the middle of the night and the nature of the texts showed she was asking to buy drugs. I now use a lady who had put a card up in a farm shop. She is brilliant.

Have had both, and I don't think it makes much difference. If you use an agency, then you often get a replacement if your cleaner is ill where you might miss a clean if it's someone self employed. If you are not happy with the cleaning, it's easier to raise it with an agency than the cleaner. I would rather pay a cleaner myself rather than have some of the charge go to an agency, but it's a risk if it's not a personal recommendation.
