Best kitchen day to day cleaner

My DH is obsessed with a brand called P and F he signed up for. Smells nice but I think is crap for cleaning. I’m not giving them advertising but I’m sure you know the brand. Glass bottles and nice microfibre Cloths but no real deep cleaning properties I can see.
what are we all using in kitchens to degrease and scrub down then wipe ? DH isn’t a fan of elbow grease (not the brand , the effort ) and I feel the kitchen needs more unnatural stuff once a week to get it sparkling !

Method pink grapefruit multi-purpose cleaner is my go to. Smells nice and actually cleans things.

Distilled vinegar or lemon juice, diluted/weak bleach, or Dettol antibacterial spray do the trick. P&F is a prettily packaged con for the monied and gullible. Ditto Fabulosa for the less monied but equally gullible.

A mild sugar soap solution does the trick for degreasing but wear gloves if you use it. I really like the elbow grease cleaner too. We use flash and the kitchen never needs degreased if you use it daily. For the tops of the cupboards I use either sugar soap solution or the lemon elbow grease.

I use flash spray wipe done or method or washing up liquid and water. Just depends what I have to hand

Do clean the top of the cupboards? How often? I’m embarrassed to say that I only did this once, when I moved into my house. They were soo greasy but so easy to clean with diluted caustic soda. I know, dangerous stuff!

I clean my surfaces with soapy water (wirh fairy liquid) and rinse with vinegar. I have a little vinegar spray handy which I use multiple times a day, so I am confident that if I eat anything from my kitchen surfaces it won’t taste like chemicals

I use a home made mix which is fabulous. Its ⅓ white vinegar, ⅓ Stardrops ⅓ water. A couple of sprays and a hot wet cloth and it cleans through grease and dirt like nobodies business! Even cuts through the nasty grease on the cooker hood. You can buy brown glass bottles like P & F on line, and pop it in. The vinegar smell evaporates in minutes. I love the smell of P & F but its relegated to being an air freshener before guests arrive!

I follow Nancy Birtwhistle and make all my own cleaning products. Haven't bought any manufactured products for several years. Work brilliantly, better for the environment, far less plastic and you can choose whatever smell you want.

Method multi purpose is the best. I like the orange one, but they all work brilliantly. Great on my glass hob too.
P and F is an expensive con.

I agree with you all. It’s DH buying it not me! I’ll have a look at the recipes given - I make my own shower glass spray with vinegar, rinse aid and washing up liquid that’s great. The top of cupboards are no doubt grim and so I’ll have to see what might work there. I got an Aldi one tonight before I read all these but shall be trying the recommendations! Thank you!

I like neat. Does the trick, no packaging except a tiny glass bottle as use the aluminium refillable one for ever. I have one which is coming up to 4 years old.

i use the usual disinfectant sprays for sinks etc but for areas like my ceramic hob I just have a spray bottle with water and a tablespoon of fairy liquid which I spray on a wipe off.
