Outdoor wasp deterrent

Please can anyone share a wasp deterrent that works. We want to be able to sit outside in our garden to eat but wasps arrive immediately. I’ve been looking on Amazon and the deterrents actually attract wasps! I want to put it at the garden dining table. Thank you.

The point of wasp traps is to put them away from where you are sitting. I can't think of a deterrant you could put near the table.
If you are getting a lot of wasps you must have a nest nearby.
You need to locate the nest, just watch where the wasps are coming and going, then get a professional in to deal with it.
Likely to be in or near a roof, shed, tree.

We use something like this to discourage them
Waspinator | Effective, safe wasp repellent for home + garden https://share.google/B4k3pZh4K4mPofYxj
Which seems to work.

Unless the nest is causing damage the advice is to leave it to die off naturally in the Autumn (they usually leave the nest by October). Wasps never return to a nest site unless it has been destroyed. If it dies off naturally then they don't return in future years.

We used fake wasps nests when we had a courtyard garden at a restaurant we owned. They worked and people weren't disturbed whilst eating in the courtyard. We put them up in the spring, left them until October, kept them indoors over the winter and repeat. We put them where a wasps nest was likely to be and didn't keep moving them.
