Fitted sheet help required

We have a king size bed with a superking size duvet and have done for 20 or so years. Had three bottom fitted sheets from HoF for years which I used to just put on without thinking about it. They eventually got a bit raggedy so I replaced them about 4 years ago. And have re-replaced them about three times since as they never seem to actually fit after about three months. The current ones are from Next and I went for deep ones thinking they’d have a bit more give. They can’t be more than 6 months old and, even if only the same two have been used, won’t have been washed more than a dozen or so times. I got so frustrated changing the bed at the weekend that I got DH & both DC taking a corner each and, after much battling, bending of the mattress, blaming of each other & so on, we eventually got each corner on. The corner under my pillow had pinged off by the time I woke up on Monday and I haven’t managed to get it back on and now DH’s side has done the same. This is ridiculously. We’ve not done anything which would put undue stress on the sheets!

What fabric are they made of, and what wash are you using?
That does sound super annoying.

I’ve given up with fitted, even the extra deep ones. I buy flat sheets now.

la Redoute or TK maxx

That’s so annoying! I can get mine to fit no problem but found my side was pinging off each morning.

I got some bed sheet corner holders off Amazon and use them just at the two corners by our heads - they are brilliant (& cheap, about £7.50 for 4) so you could try those to at least resolve the pinging issue?

I had HoF sheets for years and they were excellent. I haven't found anything as good value. Best I do now is rummage around the jumble sale (TK Maxx) periodically, or look for what's on sale at Dunelm.

I have this with some sheets, but those from Rise and Fall are great.

I have also been disparing at our fitted sheet pinging off daily. I was endlessly plagued by rise and fall ads on insta, but didn't particularly want to spend that much on a fitted sheet.

I have since found M&S's stay put range which has the same inch thick elastic that was one of R&F's main selling points. I was so impressed that I've just bought another

it comfortably accommodates a very deep mattress and my DH's endless tossing and turning - It's such a joy not having to put the sheet back on daily! It has that silky smooth hotel quality bedding feel too, and the price point felt very competitive compared to R&F. I also like the discrete label inside showing which is the short side - no more guesswork!
