Suncream stains on school tops

Has anyone actually found any successful method to get suncream stains out of white polo shirts and tshirts?

So far I've tried soaking in formil white powdered stain remover and washing in the machine with the stain remover added. I've done this twice. Also I'm leaving them outside to bleach in the son which might be having some effect, but will probably require weeks to have a significant impact.

I read that the answer is to soak the shirt overnight in a mix of cold water and bicarbonate of soda BEFORE washing.

Unfortunately I read it after I'd washed them but I still tried. It definitely reduced the staining and perhaps it would have taken it out altogether if I'd not already sealed it in by putting it on a hot wash.

Eucalyptus oil. Put it on the the clothes when they're damp, then a cold wash.
No scrubbing.

I’ve switched to the mineral sun creams and haven’t had any more stains this year (it was a nightmare last year!). Might be worth a try?

@DontrockthecaravanGeoffrey I think maybe I had already sealed in the stains with a normal wash before I started trying different stain removal techniques? I only wash at 30 though.

@Sprogonthetyne and @Shhhhdonottell now I'm confused as to whether or not to bleach as you both say the opposite! And helpfully I went a bought a bottle of ace bleach yesterday, but it is in a white bottle is that not ok? It said it was for whites. Some of the stains were a little pink on reflection and maybe this could be because the powdered stain remover I've been using has some bleach in it? They seem to lose the pinkness in the sun though.

I've bought some of this oxy spray stuff for clothes as well. There were numerous brands. I can't remember which I got. Perhaps I should try this before the bleach?

I used to use Ace bleach in the green bottle, which did help to a point.
The Ace bleach in the white bottle is very harsh, and can easily ruin the fabric.
So, i gave that a miss on school uniform.
