Where did disinfectant go???

I haven't checked the Spar yet, admittedly, but went to buy disinfectant yesterday and POUF! - it has vanished.. Sprays,wipes, super pongy concentrate, bleach - all ranged out in abundance.

But bog standard pour in a bucket to mop the floor after the cat's been sick? Nowhere to be seen.

Why?????????? 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷

Most people do seem to use sprays now.

Home Bargains, B&M, Savers all have it. Also look in other areas for Dettol I got some in the baby aisle somewhere.

I want TCP back 😩

My one-off cleaners used Dettol to clean my kitchen floor last month so it must be around somewhere.

Aldi does a little bottle of disinfectant. My fave is pink grapefruit flavour.

What’s the difference between anti-bacterial spray and disinfectant? What about bleach?
I just use anti-bac spray for most things (enzyme spray for pet mess) and bleach/floor cleaner for floors but wondering what I’m missing out on.

Loads of places sell proper dettol- the orange stuff that goes cloudy in water. As well as household cleaning, it is pretty fab in a hot bath. Amazon sell it, as well as home bargains etc.

Can you check the Tesco app for your local store, it'll tell you if its in stock and what aisle it's on. They do pine for £1.50 in a store near me.

I'm not a big fan of Tesco but their app is the best for finding things in store.

I remember (as a child) scubbing my knees with Vim to get them clean! Or was it Ajax?

Tesco has both their own pine disinfectant at about £1.50 and Dettol at about £4.00 available for delivery / click and collect on the website, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't available in store.
As long as you follow the dilution instructions and make sure the area is dry before pets walk on it, Zoflora is safe to use around pets.

Same with thin bleach, its just completely disappeared.. I used to used it for soaking things like tea towels and cleaning sinks , tea stains in cups etc..

Sainsburys and Waitrose are the only supermarkets we don't have near here. I do miss Sainsbury's.

The Co-Op used to do a pink disinfectant that smelled really nice and was great for cleaning. I get the pine one from Tesco, when I have my online shop. I do get Zoflora to put down the plug holes but I don’t want to clean with it because it stinks the house out and gives me a cracking headache
