Getting kids washing clean/white again

Please can someone share their wisdom in regards to washing.
I have a bunch of kids white polo shirts and socks for school and they are stained to hell with sun cream and just off colour and never look really clean. How do I fix this?

I put a couple of tablespoons of napisan in my white washes and that seems to help.

That’s a really good idea, I’ll grab some to try next time I’m near town 😁. Just fed up of white clothes not being white after only wearing them once or twice.

Bin

Unfortunately I can’t afford to buy new ones so that isn’t an option

Why on earth would you bin perfectly good clothes that have a bit of sun cream in them? Good grief!

Tbh I just lived with it,everyone knows what it is.

Sodium percarbonate.

Soak in oxy white overnight. Then wash on a higher temperature and add a scoop of oxy white to wash. Dry in sunlight if at all possible as sunlight bleaches out stains. If you do this a few times they turn whiter. My sister took her 2 grandchildtens washing including very grey dingy looking polo shirts when her DiL had severe depression and she made them much whiter and brighter by doing this.

Soak in milton, wash as usual and dry on the line on a good sunny day (if you get one)

I also put half a scoop of vanish in when I’m washing my whites normally to help keep them white.

Not sure if would get rid of suncream

but I did a month of testing for my friends as a piss take on fb on dd socks

bleach
napisan
ace white
vanish

ace white is the top one - I was shocked at the results

leave to soak ideally overnight and then add to wash as well

Bio d laundry bleach is more eco than napisan, available on line, about the same price.
Maybe it’s worth pre treating shirts against sun cream, someone may have an idea
