Tips for cleaning quadrant shower

We have a small quadrant shower with sliding doors. The gap between the glass doors and the lip of the shower tray always gets so gross and gunky but it’s hard to clean because of the angle, it’s small (so can’t easily get into the shower, close the doors and onto knees to clean under it) and because the doors always cover that bit of the tray. Does anyone have any tips?

I've got a standard corner one which is also a bastard to clean in the nooks and crannies

Best thing I used was a steam cleaner as it could blast into the crevices

Thank you, hadn’t considered that!

We had this issue but when we redid our shower I found out it had clips so easy to unclip remove the door and clean. This would not be a weekly job but could be done when it has got bad enough to do

Which one do you use please? I have the same problem and it drives me mad.

I stick a straw cleaner in ours with mould spray. It’s a real pita. Don’t know why we can’t design better showers. I have one with clip releases for cleaning and one that doesn’t have this feature.

No helpful advice @ToddleAlong just to add I have a very similar shower cubicle and have the same issues.
Whatever I do, I can't get it cleaned to a decent standard. Also one of the top runners broke and it was a nightmare to find a replacement.

Tbh I hate it with a passion and after putting up with it for 8 years I'm getting one with a door that opens rather than slides.

I saw someone online put a thin cloth over a shower squeedgy thing and it fit between the gaps!

Steam cleaner definitely works but, to prevent gunge and dirt in the first place I spray daily shower spray into all the crevices - every day.

We had the X5 and while it does the job I find it a bit unweildy (?) so I am looking at one of the smaller hand held ines

Foaming bathroom cleaner and a crevice brush or old toothbrush

I use a toothbrush with cif cream, or steam cleaner (karcher). Also spray regularly with mould spray.

Thanks for the link for the pack of crevice brushes. These are great!
