Success stories for removing watermarks from a wool mix sofa?

I've done something really stupid. I spilled a small amount of coffee on my friends lovely heals sofa and tried to clean it with a dab of washing up liquid and water. Then I panicked and hairdried it for a bit. Then told her and she said don't do anything. Called heals and they said get the soap out with a damp cloth and leave it. That's what I have done . The result is a much larger water mark than the original drips of coffee. She knows and has been lovely about it but I feel terrible. Can I please head some success stories of removing watermarks? I think the fabric is a wool mix. Is this a standard thing for pro cleaners? I will pay for a cleaning service but also worrying if I will have to find a replacement cushion cover.

Ah honey. Sofas are for sitting on. For drinking coffee on. For getting wine on. Maybe even glitter. Or play doh. Or pizza sauce.

And then you clean it off.

And sometimes there's a shadow of the mark left behind. And you remember Jess coming round that time and spiking wine on the sofa because she laughed so hard at your joke. And the time the pizza box wasnt shut properly and all of the pizza slid off onto the sofa.

And eventually your new sofa isn't new anymore and could.probably do with a professional clean. And the wine and the pizza are a distant memory.

Ate you sure you need to be doing all thi?
