Anyone own a carpet washer?

Are they any good? Worth buying?

I have the Vax Platinum Smartwash - it's very good.

Yes. I’ve a Vax Platinum and it’s brilliant. I have cream carpets and four cats so it’s a godsend. It’s heavy and you need to take your time but I clean my entire house with it once about every three months and it shifts even really stubborn stains. Wouldn’t be without it.

I also have a Vax Platinum Smartwash & love it. Easy to use & does a great job x

Does the Vax Platinum do a decent job of drying the carpet or do you need to use a dehumidifier afterwards?

I've got a bissell and it's brilliant. Doesn't take long to dry after at all

We’ve got one of the spot washers, so no good if you’re trying to wash an entire carpet, but great for a spillage. Really easy to use and pretty compact

I have a Domotec. Bit of a pain to use, TBH. I have it out at the moment as the living room carpet needs doing — but I am putting it off!

Yes, I used to have an upright bissell and it was amazing, did the whole house every 6months but it died, now I have a vax spot wash (I think) and it’s great, definitely worth it if you have high traffic areas that look a bit grubby

definitely worth it. Very satisfying but also shocking to see the dirty water.
go slow for the best results

I have a George. I rarely use it as it's heavy and a pain to set up. Planning to get rid of it.
