How can I remove sticky adhesive from a swimsuit ?

I did a really stupid thing, but I was overly excited at the time.

Bought a brand new swimsuit from Vinted. Tags off, hygiene fanny sticker still on.

Went on holiday, went swimming, forgot to take fanny sticker off. Obviously the paper part came off easily, but adhesive is left 😣

Any ideas please. I don't fancy binning the swim suit but don't wish to have my pubes waxed when I use it either.

Thank you !

I am in exactly the same situation. Mine was from the next sale. Wore it. Got it wet. It partially glued to my lady bits 🤦‍♀️ managed to get it off but now it’s very sticky. I did google search some solutions but haven’t got round to trying anything yet.

I’d probably try a hairdryer first to try and melt the glue and peel it off while soft

Then if that doesn’t work try some oil like cooking oil or baby oil - you’ll then need to use soap to remove the oil

Often, nail varnish remover (acetate) is a winner for this. Try on a small section (in middle where least obvious)

AI says:
To remove leftover adhesive (such as from hygienic liners or price tags) from a swimsuit, saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and gently rub the sticky spot in circular motions. The alcohol breaks down the glue without damaging synthetic materials like nylon and spandex. Rinse with cold water and air dry
OR
Warm White Vinegar: Soak the sticky area in warmed distilled white vinegar for 2 to 5 minutes to loosen the glue, then scrape it off with a soft cloth or a credit card.

Thank you. I'll try the vinegar first.
