I took apart my kitchen sink today - it was so upsetting

Oh did it all need cleaning
Should you do this job even year?

Well I considered it but what with OFSTED regulations and the building control requirement for U values and meeting the needs of the disability Discrimination Act I decided not to

No - but then it is new. However, I am a sluttern and in years to come the answer will be No. Life is tooo short and if you can't see it don't clean it

That's what Mr Muscle is for. Though I don't do it as often as they say - I use it once or twice a year, max.
