Stainless steel pan staining

I bought a new pan set yesterday and used one to heat baked beans (classy I know!) and have washed it with warm water and washing up liquid and a sponge. What is this staining and how do I get rid of it? It wasn’t a cheap set.

Cillit bang works on my stainless steel pots. Think it's from the water.

Thank you. Fingers crossed!

I had the same thing just last week. I was heating my stainless pan on my induction stove before putting oil and it got the same marks as yours. I just washed it normally and it mostly disappeared, though there were a few faint yellow stains left if you look closely, maybe from previous use.

Brillo pads are brilliant for removing stains discolouration or burnt on marks and making stainless steel pans shine
