If you’ve had mice, is it worth getting professional pest control in?

Just that really. I have done some diy mouse proofing but wondering if a professional can do more than I can. Any experiences?

We paid £100 for a man to sort our mouse problem. I think the poison he uses is possibly stronger, but we wouldn’t use him again. Inevitably they came back after a while so we now use traps and blocks of poison which we hurl up in to the loft. Obviously the traps need to be accessible but this weekend alone we have caught about three or four.

Yes. He pulled out the board from under the kitchen units and looked behind washing machine and went into lift and put poison down. Came back a couple weeks later to check if the poison had been taken. Said he’d come back again if they came back but all good.

Definitely. We used the council service which meant we got 3 visits for a set price. I asked them to come a 4th time just to make sure and they never charged us. Haven’t had an issue since and it’s been at least 3yrs. He was very knowledgable and on the second visit put down stronger bait.

The cat never even noticed we had mice 🙄

Absolutely.
Years ago, I had mice and didn't deal with it properly as I didn't understand how quickly they reproduce and how resilient they are.

Some councils have services you can use that are generally cheaper, worth enquiring into.
