Do you have a system for random leads?

I’ve got so many different USB plug connectors now that I need a way of organising them so that they aren’t getting confused

Has anyone done this successfully?

Are they all in use? Are they just lying round your house or are they attached to things? I put little stickers on mine to say what they are. For example, I have 2 laptops; the plus are labelled “Work laptop” and “My laptop”. If there’s not enough space for a sticker, I wrap on around on itself to make a little tag.

I don't but I should ive seen little stickers and things you can buy for them on amazon but you could make your own

I’ve managed to match 4 leads today and consider it a success definitely need to label them

I’ve had to accept I’ve got a spare “burner “ type phone and no idea where the charger is

Do you mean you have leads lying around your house and you don’t know what they’re for?

First step - gather them all up and match up ones that are for the same thing. Then label them with what they’re for (eg “iPhone - USB-C” or whatever) - Google types of connectors if you’re not sure which is which.

Then put spare ones in a box, and put the rest where you use them (eg in your laptop bag, next to the socket you plug them in to etc)

I just use the regular office stickers that you can buy in any stationery section. You can cut them up smaller if you need to.

Do you mean you have a box already? So just need to figure out what each is for? Post photos here if you can’t find them online, and someone will know.

We have a power box next to the batteries with plugs and charging leads in.

Any others I offer to my teenage sons or save then for recycling at the tip (a whey powder tub in the garage. 2 actually. One for batteries and one for random leads).
