Advice on blinds - venetian probably - fitting on french windows UPV double glazed?

Does anyone have any suggestions about this? Would like to fit white or cream wooden venetians in the kitchen - no problem on the windows as due to weird inward opening mechanism they would fit outside the recess, but we have double doors into the garden needing blinds too.

Lady in John Lewis was saying something about if you fix a blind to the door itself it compromises the sealed unit ( I was imagining a narrow venetian closely attached to each door). Surely not?

I don't want vertical blinds, and I am sure I have seen what I have in mind.

I've put off getting blinds for a whole year since we moved in and am now fed up of our cluttered kitchen being on view to the childless immaculate appartment dwellers living opposite. Oh yes, you see they have blinds but they never use them, there being nothing they need to screen from view, not before my bedtime anyway - it is wall to wall plush ivory velvet carpets and orchids and art (art!) on the walls over there. Over here it is marmite stains on the walls, piles of washing in front of the machine and paw prints on the dishwasher.

I would of thought blinds for a conservatory would work as they are designed for doors like yours?

I didn't know that. Will look into it - cheers.
