Moving furniture

Hi

I want to move a very heavy double bed with a very heavy mattress just over to the other side of the room and a very heavy large chest of drawers a few inches along the wall. I understand there is special equipment you can buy to move heavy items. However I don't want myself or someone else to get injured. Do you think a removal firm would do this very small job for a small fee? I feel a bit silly asking! Thanks.

I bought these furniture sliders from Amazon for £12. Plastic for carpet areas and another for hardwood floors.
So easy to use.

Thanks Sminty2. I might be able to get them under the chest of drawers but the bed would be too heavy.

Task rabbit?

That's a good idea. I have used them before to build an Ikea bookcase. Thanks.
