Have just bagged up 38 soft toys from the DC's rooms for a local charity (the charity does want them, don't worry!). Am now prowling around the house looking for other things to chuck...

I am truly a convert to the ways of tidiness

This happened to me about a month ago! I Freecycled, I visited the tip, I Ebayed, I went to and from the Charity shop. Good it felt good! I have reclaimed my conservatory & general space around house.

You'll feel dead pleased... until you realise it is just you experiencing passion for tidiness...

Good luck anyway!

keep wanting to do decluttering properly, have read flylady, various other books. start but have problems completing the removal of stuff (ie we have a lot of stuff sorted out a bit, then we lose the will to live....) how do you get past this....

Two things I did (both of which are fairly embarrasing )
I bought Anthea "Fembot" Turner's book, which is actually quite good, and also bought two big plastic storage boxes. One is upstairs, one downstairs and every time we see something which we don't want/use, it goes into the box to be disposed of at a later date.
